iOS 6 to Introduce "Really Big" Changes - TheTechN
We all know the truth, as harsh as it may sound. iOS is old. Of course, it still looks great, but after introducing folders, a bit of multitasking and a few extra “enhancements”, there’s not really much Apple can do to improve the Mobile Operating System any further. Or is there?
According to iDownloadBlog’s “credible source,” Apple is focusing on improving all of its stock apps, rather than adding more to core OS features. That means no widgets, which many fans have been asking for for years now, and no home screen redesign. However, the rewritten stock apps are said to “deliver groundbreaking enhancements.” Personally, if that’s all Apple’s doing, then I doubt that the iOS is going to be “revitalized”.
There have been suggestions that both the Camera and Photo apps are getting some much needed upgrades, but I can’t really see Apple doing anything to them other than changing the logo…
When asked about whether iOS 6 would introduce multitasking improvements, however, the source wouldn’t say. Instead, it hinted that “iPad 3 owners will find the iOS 6 update well worth it.”
Will iOS 6 be a big disappointment? To be honest I really think that it depends. The chances are, Apple’s going to fix another “security issue” ie jailbreaks, and we might see some logo changes. I don’t think it’s going to be big. You never know, Apple might surprise us!
