I’m pretty sure that most of you have heard of Samsung’s Galaxy Note. Samsung first announced the phone last August during the IFA 2011, and released it sometime in October that year. With a screen of 5.3″, you could consider it a “phablet” — ie a phone and tablet in one.
After the success of the Google Nexus 7, it seems as if the tech giant is about to take a bite into the 10-inch range with a Nexus-branded tablet of it’s own. This time however, it seems as if Samsung will be given the almighty job of building the tablet,
HTC will launch a follow up tablet to the Flyer in the UK.
The Taiwanese firm predominantly makes smartphones but a spokesperson for HTC told PC Advisor a tablet will ‘definitely’ arrive. It’s not clear when this will happen but it will be the first tablet from HTC to launch in the UK since May last year.
After a leaked picture yesterday, Samsung were forced to announce their Galaxy Chat — the first smartphone to incorporate a full QWERTY keyboard along with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Samsung confirmed that the device will feature a 3-inch QVGA (320 x 240) touchscreen; along with 4GB of internal memory with a microSD slot, and will have a 2-megapixel rear-facing camera.
So it’s official. Samsung announced this morning that it’s own-brand quad-core processor will be the driving motor of it’s “next Galaxy”, the Samsung Samsung Galaxy S III.
