Pre-Orders for Galaxy S III Set a Record and Ceramic Body Confirmed

The mobile industry insider Eldar Murtazin announced Tuesday that the design for the Galaxy S III has officially been finalized by Samsung. As earlier reports have suggested, Murtazin also said Samsung settled on a ceramic industrial build for the device.

More importantly, Murtazin also claims that Samsung received a record number of pre-orders from wireless carriers and retailers for the Galaxy S III — more than any other Galaxy device to date.

Sony has unveiled the latest addition to its Android powered smartphone lineup today with the new Xperia sola. The handset boasts a “floating touch” user interface for “magic web browsing,” a dual-core NovaThor processor, NFC technology, and lots more.

The floating touch user interface makes its debut exclusively on the Xperia sola, and allows users to navigate the web without actually touching the handset’s display. Instead, you simply hover your finger above the screen “so it acts like a moving cursor.”
