The computers will come equipped with 8GB of RAM, 1TB hard drives, a 2.9GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 processor with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.6GHz, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650M/660M/675MX graphics, depending on the model, and a new Fusion Drive hard drive
The big announcement today is the iPad Mini, a smaller version of Apple’s popular iPad. The tablet, designed directly to compete with Amazon’s Kindle products and Google Nexus 7, will feature a 1,024 x 768 screen resolution (the same screen resolution as the iPad 2).
So Apple’s new iMac with Retina Display is going to supposedly launch this coming Fall. At this stage in the game though, I wouldn’t get my hopes up too high yet. After all, the story was published by DigiTimes, which doesn’t exactly have a flawless record when it comes to predicting Apple’s product launches. But still — the site claimed that it heard from Apple’s supply chain “sources” saying that Apple will receive the parts in July for a possible October launch.
With Retina Displays now in their iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and supposedly next generation Macbooks; wouldn’t it make sense for Apple to have the displays in their iMacs?
Well, according to an ABC News report, sources revealed just that. — The next iMac line of desktops will be getting a higher resolution display, a lot higher.
Apple’s “iCloud Re-vamp” will be coming up soon, and it’s set to bring a few extra goodies to the service, such as a social feature, a rumored iOS-style notifications, Notes and Reminders.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the Cupertino-based company is looking to introduce a new feature that will allow people to share and comment on a set of iCloud photos. At the moment, users are limited to Photo Stream, a service which merely syncs a user’s iPhone photos to the cloud for up to 30 days; from there
