The big announcement today is the iPad Mini, a smaller version of Apple’s popular iPad. The tablet, designed directly to compete with Amazon’s Kindle products and Google Nexus 7, will feature a 1,024 x 768 screen resolution (the same screen resolution as the iPad 2).
This may come as no surprise to you, but just as the rumors predicted, Apple have finally revealed that it will be unveiling it’s next generation iPhone next Wednesday, September 12th.
There have been a ton of rumors and supposed “source leaks” regarding the iPad Mini. And up until now, few of them have had any sense behind them. Well, this time round, The Wall Street Journal says it has confirmed with its own sources that Apple is indeed working on a smaller version of the iPad that will offer a screen size under 8-inches.
So Apple’s Retina Display is no longer “king of the crop”. LG has just unveiled a new five-inch display which is said to give Retina Display a real run for its money. The new LCD screen is based on AH-IPS (Advanced High Performance In-Plane Switching) technology and has an impressive resolution of 1920×1080, so it’ll be pushing a 1080p resolution! It has a
